1. Availability of Tickets

BTO staff and their families are excluded from playing the Raffle. Sterling Ltd employees are excluded from playing the Raffle.

The 2020 Raffle is online only. No tickets have been produced or mailed.

Promotion of the raffle will be to BTO supporters but is available for anyone to play online at our website page, hosted by Sterling Ltd, btospringraffle.charitylotteries.co.uk.

The Raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands)

Applications must be from players aged 16 years old or over. No person under this age is allowed by law to enter the BTO Raffle. Online players must confirm that they are aged 16 or over.

Any person who has entered BTO Raffle who is under 16 years old will automatically forfeit any prize and will be excluded from future entries. If a person under 16 years old is found to have participated in a lottery after the lottery draw has taken place, then any prizes that might otherwise have been due to them will not be paid out. If prizes have already been paid out, all reasonable attempts will be made to recover them.


2. Payment

Tickets are priced at £1 each. This is stated on the website. They may not be sold for any more or less than the stated price.

Your ticket numbers will be displayed on the screen and emailed to you.

Entry with a valid payment is by 11.59pm on 26 March 2020. If an entry is received after 26 March 2020 then it will be treated as a donation.

Payment is to be made online only by card.

Proceeds will be paid by Sterling Ltd into the BTO bank account.

In order to comply with the Act, Raffle Tickets that have been purchased and entered into the draw for which they were intended are prohibited from being subsequently refunded.


3. The Draw

The main draw will take place on 2 April 2020. An additional Early Bird Draw will be drawn on the 6 February 2020.

If the draw date is changed then all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that participants are made aware.

The winning numbers will be selected at random from the online entries via a Random Number Generator so that no unfair advantage can be gained.

The seven winners will be notified by email, telephone or letter and a list of winning numbers provided on our website at www.bto.org/raffle. BTO reserves the right to publish the names of winners.

There are no cash alternatives to the non-cash prizes.


4. Self Exclusion

Players, including online players, may at any time request by phone, post or email to be excluded from receiving further raffle ticket mailings or may unsubscribe from e-newsletters promoting the raffle. A self-exclusion form can be provided if necessary.

This information will be added to our database so that they do not receive tickets or specific marketing material. This will be for a period of at least 6 months, but a longer time period may be specified. After this time the individual must contact us and ask that we resume sending tickets to them.


5. Complaints

Complaints about the raffle should be addressed to the Promoter, Ieuan Evans, at BTO, The Nunnery, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 2PU, telephone 01842 750050, email [email protected] If the complaint remains unresolved it will be referred to the Director of the BTO. If it still remains unresolved thereafter it will be referred to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) for independent resolution.

A log will be kept of all complaints received and the actions taken. A copy of the decision or a note of the outcome of each dispute referred to IBAS will be provided to the Gambling Commission quarterly.


6. General Information

The BTO Raffle is authorised as a Society Lottery by the Gambling Commission (www.gamblingcommission.co.uk). BTO is a registered charity, No.216652 (England and Wales) SC039193 (Scotland), company limited by guarantee No.357284. The promoter is Ieuan Evans, BTO, The Nunnery, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 2PU.
